1 table spoon ground cinnamon
3 cardamom pods
0,5 table spoon pul biber
5 table spoon cane sugar
salt and pepper
Cooking time
- Place the block of tamarind that you have loosened a little in boiling water, so that it is just covered. Stir occasionally with a fork and loosen it even more. This can take about 20 minutes.
- Scrape the carrots clean and cut them into strips in the spring.
- Mix all the spices together, with salt and sugar.
- Push the tamarind paste through a sieve and let all the water come into your bowl as well.
- Mix the tamarind paste with some olive oil and the spices.
Mix it into your carrots and place them carrots in the baking dish.
You can pour your leftover sauce over it. - Cover and put in the oven at 175 degrees for half an hour. Remove the aluminum foil, stir well and then let it cook in the oven for a while. Could take another half hour.
