Spicy potato mash with fresh turmeric and cumin

minutesPotato prepared in a way that really makes everyone happy. The soft potato, the spicy of the spices, and the surprising of the grated turmeric / turmeric in it. A small miracle on your plate and in your mouth.
Ingredients
1 kilo potatoes
0,5 table spoon cumin seeds
0,5 table spoon mustard seed
1 table spoon pul biber
50 gram grated fresh turmeric / turmeric / galanga
1 bouquet fresh cilantro
150 gram plant based butter
salt and white pepper
Cooking time
- Peel the potatoes and boil them for 20 minutes. Peel the turmeric and grate it with a fine grater. It’s a bit of a chore this…. but the smasher of the flavors.
Heat the butter in a pan. Gently fry the cumin seeds, mustard seeds and pul biber until soft and to taste. - Drain the potatoes. Let them steam out. Pour the butter mixture over the potatoes. Mash them fine. Niet te zacht, mogen wel wat stukjes in blijven zitten. Finely chop the coriander and stir it in together with the turmeric.
Bring it to taste with salt and pepper.
