This is a delicious dish in a mezze. Lovely dip with some Turkish or Arab bread. Taking a bite, dipping with your falafel … it tastes exactly how it looks. Full of taste. Reduced in the pan, some honey, some cinnamon. No more words needed here.

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo ripe tomatoes

  • 2 table spoons vegan honey

  • 1 table spoon sugar

  • pinch cinnamon

  • 3 table spoons olive oil

Preparation

  • Cut the tomatoes in dices. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the tomatoes and the sugar. Let it cook for about 45 minutes. Stir now and then. When the tomatoes have transformed in a nice silky soft and sweet sauce, it is ready. This is the moment to add pepper, cinnamon and the vegan honey. Stir well and serve in a beautiful bowl.
  • You can serve the dip warm or at room temperature.
