minutesCinnamon is the secret ingredient here with the string beans and the tomato.
Ingredients
500 grams string beans or green beans
500 grams ripe tomatoes
3 banana shallots
5 cloves garlic
pinch cinnamon
olive oil
some Arabic bread
Preparation
- Cook the string beans a few minutes in boiling water.
Cut the tomatoes in dices. - Fry the shallots in a deep frying pan. Add the garlic towards the end for a few minutes. Then add the tomatoes. Drain the beans well, let them rest for a few minutes to get rid of the moist and then add them to the tomatoes. Let everything simmer wel on middle high heat.
- Stir well. Add the cinnamon and the salt and pepper to your taste.
- Wonderful to have with some Arabic bread.
