A pasta salad appears regularly on many tables. This pasta salad is delicious – of course – but also has a secret ingredient: baies roses. Although it’s not that secretive as you see it right away. The little red pink balls are easily detected in this salad. By eye and by taste. They deliver a slightly spiciness that stays with you for a little while. And that separates this salad from the others just like that.

Ingredients

  • 250 gram butterfly pasta

  • 3 ripe tomatoes

  • 1 red pepper

  • 75 gram pine nuts

  • 75 gram black olives

  • 200 gram haricots verts

  • 3 table spoons baies roses

  • 1 red onion

  • red wine vinegar and olive oil

  • fresh basil

  • salt and pepper

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
Cook the beans long enough for them to become tender.
  • Roast the pine nuts in a dry cooking pan. Stay with the pine nuts to make sure they do not burn.
  • Cut the peppers, the red onions and the tomatoes in small pieces.
  • Cut the olives in small rings.
  • Drain the pasta when it’s done. Let it damp for a bit and pour in some olive oil and stir.
  • Cook the beans and cut them in two.
  • Cut the basil leaves and add them to the salad.
  • Mix everything well. Add 3 table spoons of vinegar, a splash of olive oil and the baies roses. Bring it to taste with salt and pepper.
